I started my career as a Sales professional and have been a part of Eureka Forbes, many Telecommunication and Start-up organizations. I was part of these organizations when they were challengers & want to grow rapidly.
As the Sales team Leader, we were responsible for aligning channel and processes with the overall business vision to drive better business outcomes as per companies goal, Where I was instrumental in guiding regional teams to great success and helping businesses find innovative telecom solutions. During this distinguished tenure spanning over a decade, I managed the Sales, Marketing and strategy of telecom solutions.
What is your success formula? Something you have followed personally that has helped you in your personal and professional journey.
Planning and effective execution are the two main variables in the success formula. While planning provides you with a sense of direction and helps you focus, effective execution gives you the discipline to reach your plan to achieve your goals. If either one is missing, the success formula simply does not add up. I always believe “The task ahead of you is never greater than the strength within you” so plan & execution is the key.
What is the biggest challenge that you are facing while working towards Emgage’s growth and how did you overcome it?
During the Pandemic time, SME’s are apprehensive about spending additional money on automation & most of them are in their wait & watch mode. We have collaborated with many partners to acquire new customers, we have increased our marketing budget to reach out to the right audiences to create more engagement & demand for our platform. We have been reaching out to more customers by creating knowledge articles, talking about SME HR challenges through various online platforms & influencers.
What separates Emgage from its competitors?
We realized that there is definitely a need for HR automation in SMEs, but at the same time, there is a lack of experience in HR professionals working in SMEs. SMEs can not afford to hire senior HR professionals or HR advisors due to cost constraint. HR is spread across various sub functions where you expect the team to manage Recruitment, Payroll, Compliances, HR Operations, Employee Engagement, Training, and other strategic roles.
It is very difficult for a small HR team to fulfil these expectations and stay updated on all these HR functions and hence our HR solution not only helps SME’s to digitalize their HR department, but it also works as a knowledge platform for these HR team in SME’s to help them manage the entire gamut of HR function efficiently and professionally.
How do you see the company changing in two years, and how do you see yourself creating that change?
Build an intelligent & robust solution that is available and accessible by HR professionals in Startups & SME space, which automates the HR processes and acts as an advisor to these HR professionals to empower them to manage HR effectively and give better outputs.
We are looking to work with strategic partners that are serving SME customers globally to extend our solution to their end customers and provide better services and add value to their client business. Acquire and retain 1 lac active users across the various industries by solving their real problems and creating the best user experience.
How has Covid-19 impacted your business, and what is your strategy moving forward in the new normal?
Covid-19 has a positive impact on SAAS business. We have seen a growing demand for technology tools to effectively manage the workforce working from home, handle their operational things, and productivity at the same time. There is a huge demand for good HRMS products in the market, but at the same time, there are very few quality products available in the market to cater to SME’s requirements.
Our strategy is to work with these SME’s to experience & empower them to manage their Human resources effectively and enable the HR teams in these SME’s to handle people effectively and manage their productivity better in this new normal.
What new and exciting updates can we expect from Emgage in the near future?
Robust platform to offer HR as a Service to SME customers with a focus on in app HR chat bot, industry specific people analytics to our customers to make better people decision to drive better business outcome.
