Many factors may influence your webinar’s efficiency, but timing is one of the most important ones. There is a reason why marketers all over the world are sending emails and running campaigns in specific hours, days, and months. ATips To Run An Effective Webinar

1. Host webinars midweek

According to Big Book of Webinar Stats, containing data from 3,50,890 webinars, the best weekdays to host a webinar are Wednesdays (with a score of 24% total attendees) and Thursdays (25% total attendees). Avoid hosting your webinars on Mondays and Fridays, as they seem to be the busiest days of the week.

This insight is particularly interesting for one more reason – on average, people tend to watch one webinar per week. That means you should be well-organized with promoting your webinar. What days are the best for promoting your webinar? The same research results showed that promotion activities performed on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays attracted the most registrants.

2. Choose your meeting’s length

As we live in the era of bite-size and quickly expiring content, the time we can focus our attention on one thing has dramatically decreased. That’s why it’s not easy to hold your audience’s attention these days. Nevertheless, during webinars, people sit and pay attention for 30 to 90 minutes. Moreover, according to observational reports made by ON24, attendees can actively participate in a webinar for 55 minutes before leaving. This is the average time to hold the attention of your audience, which of course doesn’t mean you should run only 55-minute long webinars. The ideal length of a webinar depends on your industry and the content you want to present.

Avoid “stretching out” your content and use “time-fillers” just to hit the right length of your online presentation. The key for the perfect timing of your webinar is cutting it down only to truly interesting content. If you’re hosting marketing webinars, try to fit between 30-60 minutes, and don’t forget to include time for questions from your audience.

3. Mind time zones

This is crucial when you host international webinars, and you’re connecting with people from all over the world. It’s hard to accommodate everyone’s schedule and be instantly available to people from another side of the planet. Undoubtedly, having attendees in multiple zones is tough when you’re the webinar’s host.

In the beginning, try to locate the majority of your audience, and then schedule your webinar according to the most common time zone. Picking the most convenient time for an audience from the USA, India, or Europe looks different. In the first two cases, you should schedule your webinar from 11 am to 2 pm, while when most of your attendees are from Europe, it’s best to start your event between 8 am and 11 am.

4. Go on demand

Remember that these days, people are busy, which might make you displeased with your attendance and conversion rates. After a finished event, you can share your webinar on-demand and send the link to registrants who couldn’t participate. You can also promote on-demand versions to new audiences.

This was our four webinar tips on setting the right timing for your webinar. Remember that building an audience may be a long-term process, but it will certainly pay off. Maybe you have other ideas about hosting a webinar just in the perfect time. Let us know in the comments!
